An earlier version of this email included an incorrect link to request a speaker for Refugee Shabbat. We apologize for that!
If your community would like to request a HIAS speaker to join your Refugee Shabbat program, please fill out this form by December 1, 2023. We cannot guarantee that every request will be matched with a speaker, but we will do our best.
Dear RJ,
In the wake of the attack on October 7, it feels even more important to invite you to join HIAS and our co-sponsors for our Sixth Annual Refugee Shabbat on February 2-3, 2024.
Refugee Shabbat is our opportunity to recognize the profound impact of the global Jewish movement working on behalf of refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced people. As a global Jewish humanitarian organization, HIAS is proud to be a leader in this movement.
Even as we grapple with the myriad challenges of this moment — it is important to take time to catch our breath, reflect on our accomplishments, and gather our energy for the work that lies ahead.
Everyone who registers for Refugee Shabbat will get access to our comprehensive resource guide containing ideas and content for programs ranging from synagogue services to Shabbat dinner to community-wide service projects.
Register for Refugee Shabbat today >>
B’tikvah – with hope for a more just, welcoming, and compassionate world,
