Are these students smarter than Gavin Newsom?!
Friend,
Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) took to Twitter to crow about California’s “first-in-the-nation” gas price-gouging law designed to prevent oil companies from overcharging consumers.
Like everywhere else, gas prices in California are determined by supply and demand. And though high prices annoy consumers, they are important market signals. By threatening to choke the profits of producers, Newsom stands to discourage production and investment.
Newsom’s price gouging rhetoric may be convincing to many — including local media in California, which ran wild with the narrative — but it flunks Econ 101.
Do you know who doesn’t? The students who engage with FEE in the Classroom!
My name is Lawrence W. Reed, and I am President Emeritus of the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE). FEE is an educational foundation that captivates and inspires tomorrow’s leaders with the freedom philosophy.
Our flagship program, FEE in the Classroom, makes the ideas of liberty familiar, credible, and compelling to students.
FFEE in the Classroom is a unique program held in brick-and-mortar and virtual classrooms across the country that teaches young Americans the principles of free markets, individual liberty, and limited government.
Students learn how these core principles apply to their daily lives, communities, future, and country’s future.
These are important lessons that many young Americans are not hearing in their schools. But the more students we reach with FEE in the Classroom, the more familiar these ideas will be with the next generation.
FEE is preparing for the upcoming school year. Our goal is to reach 75,000 students this year through FEE in the Classroom.
Your generous support will empower us to reach our goal and have an IMMEDIATE impact by spreading the message of liberty.

FEE is always finding new ways to teach the next generation the ideas of liberty, free-market economics, personal responsibility, and limited government with engaging educational content.
Otherwise, the future will be filled with leaders who are as bad at economics as Californian politicians!
The next future leaders of our country are getting ready to return to their classrooms. You can help FEE introduce them to the ideas of freedom and free markets.
Do you know which famous President was a reader of FEE’s writings?
President Ronald Reagan! Let’s make more Reagans and fewer Newsoms.
