Relavo, led by Sarah Lee, which has designed a self-disinfecting technology for dialysis that can keep patients comfortable and safe while undergoing home-based kidney failure treatment, historically severely underutilized due to risk of infection.
ReSuture, led by Hannah Eherenfeldt, a company developing a surgical simulation system that accurately reproduces the mechanical properties of human vascular tissue and can be used repeatedly, providing highly realistic vascular surgery simulations, reducing training time, and reducing bias in evaluation of skills.
Samay, led by Maria Artunduaga, MD, MPH, MTM, is developing a device that continuously monitors patients’ lung function and collects lifestyle and other medical data to improve management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Along the way, we’ve worked with many ACA member groups and individuals and we are always looking to include more members of this community in our programs.
