D-backs outfielder Corbin Carroll, who earned a fan election and will return home to his native Seattle to start in the NL outfield at the Midsummer Classic, became just the fifth D-backs player to win the NL Rookie of the Month Award, and the first since Chris Owings in April 2014 (also: Gerardo Parra in May 2009; Daniel Hudson in August 2010 and Wade Miley in April 2012).
The 22-year-old, who is the youngest player on either All-Star roster, hit .291 (30-for-103) with 8 home runs, 22 RBI, 7 doubles, 2 triples, 25 runs scored, 8 stolen bases, a .631 slugging percentage and a .348 on-base percentage across 26 games played in June.
Carroll delivered a career-best four hits in a 6-2 road win over the Washington Nationals on June 7th, posting a home run, two RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in the win.
The 16th overall pick in the 2019 Draft followed up his 4-hit outing with a 3-hit, 2-homer performance on June 9th in an 11-6 win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Carroll connected on his first career grand slam in his first career multi-homer contest.
The dynamic outfielder hit safely and scored a run in 7 of 8 games from June 4th-June 13th, batting .500 (16-for-32) with 5 homers, 11 RBI and 3 stolen bases during the stretch.
Carroll, who joins pitcher Wade Miley (2012) as the only rookie All-Stars in D-backs history, finished among Major League leaders for the month in runs (4th, 25); RBI (T-6th, 22) and home runs (T-7th, 8).
