Back in the 1960s, recording artist, guitar teacher, and master luthier Denny Zager noticed that if there was one thing holding his students back it was always the guitars they were trying to learn with. Denny met with the best luthiers and largest guitar manufacturers in the U.S, yet he was still dissatisfied with the playability of his guitar.
Denny finally decided to take matters into his own hands and began modifying his guitar in a way that had never been done before, and Zager Easy Play Guitars was born. Denny started Zager Guitars because he wanted to share the joy of playing guitar—without finger pain or soreness—with beginners and professionals alike. Denny found that the easier a guitar is to play, the quicker a guitar student can learn the basics, or the longer a professional musician can perform or practice.
