Did you attend a NAMI Connection (Peer) or NAMI Family Support Group with NAMI Northern Virginia this year? We need to hear from YOU! NAMI Northern Virginia offers 99% of our programs and services throughout the community for free — that means attending any of our support groups, classes, presentations, or one of our other programs costs nothing. We are only able to offer these critical services and programs at zero cost to you because of the feedback received via our program participant surveys. These responses allow us to show the impact and reach of our work, and since we have started providing these programs virtually, fewer and fewer people have been sharing their feedback with us. So, if you attended one or more of our NAMI Support Groups last month, please take this opportunity to fill out the survey linked at the post below.

NAMI Virginia has MANY training opportunities in July, August, and September with the application deadlines approaching! If you have benefitted from one of our NAMI signature support & education programs, and feel like you would like to give back and help provide hope for others, we are currently accepting applications for new NAMI Class Facilitators, Presenters, and Program Leaders! Class Facilitators, Presenters, and Program Leaders are dedicated and trained volunteers, committed to helping us lead our local programs. NAMI Virginia has scheduled training dates for NAMI Peer-to-Peer Class Facilitators, NAMI In Our Own Voice Presenters, NAMI Family-to-Family Class Facilitators, and NAMI Connection Support Group Facilitators.
