Petco Love’s largest and most anticipated grant application of the year is open NOW through July 31 exclusively to our animal welfare partners. If your organization performs sheltering and adoptions, don’t miss this opportunity to receive lifesaving grant investments.

Organizations eligible* for funding during this grant cycle include:

• Animal control agencies and nonprofit organizations responsible for animal control sheltering

• SPCA/humane societies and other nonprofits operating primarily from an animal sheltering facility

• Nonprofit organizations that are primarily foster-based rescues

• TNR organizations that perform adoptions

Hint: How to Increase Your Org’s Grant Award

Doing adoptions at Petco is the #1 way to increase your grant award! In fact, the more adoptions your org performs annually at Petco**, the greater your grant award! In addition to habitats and adoption centers being open for adoptions, weekend adoption events are welcome and highly encouraged. Contact your local Petco’s General Manager to inquire about habitat availability and plan adoption events.

This month, encourage your network of pet parents and potential pet parents to consider being a foster. Download the toolkit included in this email for content you can share so people can learn more about what it’s like to be a foster parent.

Meet Butter!

Butter was rescued as a pup in Texas by Hearts and Bones Rescue and adopted by Yukari in New York. When Yukari experienced a racist incident on the street, Butter’s comfort and care showed her that love prevails. With Butter’s help, Yukari found strength and encouragement in her local community of pet parents, who rallied around Yukari and Butter to help them feel safe again.
