Memorial Day CORRECTION

It has come to the attention of Bravo Troy Ohio that the The Veterans Memorial Day Committee has decided NOT to have a public ceremony this year. No further details or information has been provided at this time. Bravo Troy Ohio sincerely apologizes for any confusion this may have caused.

In lieu of this year’s ceremony, Bravo Troy Ohio does encourage everyone to still take a moment to remember the true meaning of this holiday weekend. Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.

Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials and holding family gatherings.

So amidst all the family, friend, fun and festivities let us not forget all those who gave their life for the many freedoms for which we all cherish.

John 15:13

“Greater love hath no man than this,

that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
