After serving as the principal of the Florence K-8 school, Deanna Potter will be moving on to become the new principal of Florence High School. The Florence Unified School District Governing Board unanimously approved Potter’s assignment, and she will begin her duties at Florence High School beginning July 1.
In the sports world, two Casa Grande Union track and field students had the opportunity to compete against the best at the all-divisions state championship track meet last weekend. Trinity Payne and Jaycie Spencer said they were grateful for the chance to show what they could do against tough competition.
Lastly, in state news, the price of gas continues to soar in Arizona. Arizona’s average price for regular gas has been the third-highest in the country for at least the last month, trailing only California and Hawaii. Read more about the dramatic shift in gas prices in the state. |
