Our agreement with Linde is the latest example of how our Low Carbon Solutions business is scaling up things like CCS and hydrogen for industry and other hard-to-decarbonize sectors.
Linde is one of the world’s largest makers of industrial gases, used in everything from electronics to aerospace.
We’ll transport and permanently store up to 2.2 million metric tons a year of CO2from Linde’s $1.8 billion clean hydrogen plant in Beaumont, Texas, scheduled to start operating in 2025.
It’s our largest such project to date – equivalent to the emissions from nearly half a million cars.
