It’s easy to say PBS has always been a source of wonder and inspiration for me. One of my first memories of PBS is taking my first steps toward the TV — just as the Sesame Street theme song came on. It’s fun to see my journey from those first few steps come so full circle — right back to public media, working at Arizona PBS and delivering content that informs and educates, dazzles and delights, to all corners of the Grand Canyon State.
On behalf of all of us at Arizona PBS, I am excited to share this first-ever initiative with you. Public Media Giving Days is here — fueled by the combined efforts of PBS, NPR and local stations like Arizona PBS. We are giving people the opportunity to meaningfully rally behind the institution of public media over a two-day period.
Share what #PublicMediaGives to you with your friends and co-workers May 1 and May 2. Post your appreciations and experiences on social media (and use that hashtag when you do). Your stories will make a crucial difference.
We encourage you to give back by becoming a first-time contributor to Arizona PBS or, if you already contribute, make an additional gift.
We can’t wait to see and hear your public media stories!
