While Country Thunder brought plenty of fans out to enjoy live music from some of their favorite musical acts in the genre, the festival was relatively uneventful for local law enforcement as the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office reported only 11 arrests stemming from the music festival and just a small number of lost items.
And one area couple are planning their annual trip to Jamaica in October, but it’s not for the reason you might think. For the last 10 years, Walt and Tracy Mason have traveled to Jamaica for three weeks to volunteer at an area school and bring much-needed schools supplies along with them. This year, the Masons also plan to host a charity golf tournament to support the nonprofit organization they work with. Here’s what you should know.
Also, while we’re on the subject of events happening in October, we should mention a big one — the 52nd reunion for the Casa Grande Union High School Class of 1971. This year’s event will include birthday cake as many former classmates are expected to be celebrating their 70th birthday. |
