We’re starting the morning tracking this developing story, as police are investigating the shooting of a teenager that occurred at Maricopa’s Copper Sky Park late Wednesday night. On the western end of Pinal, the county and the town of Florence are examining ways to improve traffic in the rapidly growing Florence and San Tan Valley areas. Among the updates being looked at are creating a new north-south route connecting State Route 24 to the Florence area and the possibility of expanding Attaway Road to five lanes.
Cinco de Mayo is just over two weeks away. Already making plans for that weekend? You might want to consider the celebration hosted by the Eloy Chamber of Commerce. Executive Director Andrew Rodriguez says his goal is to make the May 5th event feel bigger and better than the one the chamber held last year; there are already plenty of activities scheduled for the free event including a car show, live music, activities for kids and much more. |
