My name is Yoni. I’m the CEO of Movement Labs.

If you don’t know who we are, here’s my elevator pitch: we’re an organization committed to advancing progressive priorities and defeating Trumpism once and for all. We’re committed to working in all areas and all arenas to achieve our goal. What sets us apart is that we analyze our data in real time and run randomized control trials (RCTs) to test our methods, and because of that, we know that our approach works. RCTs are the same testing methodology that brought us the life-saving COVID-19 vaccines.

Through our Contest Every Race program, it cost us roughly $500 to recruit a candidate to flip a GOP-held seat. So far, our win rate is – 45% – competing in areas where Republicans have won for years. In 2022, we recruited 65,000+ potential candidates into races that otherwise would have gone unchallenged. In 2023, we hope to more than double that number.

With our Rural Power Lab, we’re working in rural counties to build up their Democratic Party infrastructure. Through our efforts, we’re aiming to increase Democratic turnout by three percentage points in the next three years – turning red states into purple battlegrounds and turning battlegrounds into Democratic wins! This is exactly what we did in 2022, seeing better Democratic margins for governors in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Kansas – the three states we worked in. We also worked in Arizona, where Democrats swept the top three statewide races for the first time since the 1970s.

Every dollar we raise helps expand these programs and our advocacy efforts. My hope is that sooner rather than later, we can expand our programs to every single state in America.
