The burden to comply with these more stringent air quality standards could also raise costs for businesses and impact consumers, making it harder for individuals and families to make ends meet.
The current PM standards have already led to significant improvements in air quality, and new scientific evidence does not justify tightening these standards. By doing so, the government could be imposing unnecessary costs and creating more hoops for businesses to jump through.
