Good morning RJ,
The city of Coolidge will have to wait on more housing options after a Sun Communities development was put on hold by the Coolidge City Council. The council cited financial concerns and the impact on the city and residents. For example, Councilmember Tom Bagnall said the 319-acre development would add 3,000 vehicles on Skousen Road daily. In his explanation, he said the city is not ready for that increase.
We are one day away from the biggest party in Pinal County! Country Thunder is back in Florence for another year, meaning traffic in the area will be at an all-time high. Drivers who aren’t attending the event are being advised to avoid State Route 79 north of downtown Florence for the remainder of the week, as thousands of fans head to the festival grounds.
Lastly, sticking with the country theme, the Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre in Queen Creek continues to provide plenty of fun for the community. If you are a PinalCentral subscriber, you can check out the many events the park hosts every year, like the popular Roots N Boots event and the Gilbert Days Rodeo. |
