What started as a celebration of the beautiful community of Kearny continues this year with the third annual Gila River Music Festival. Kearny Mayor Jamie Ramsey started the event as a way to promote the town and expects local businesses to benefit from the increased tourism in the community.
In Maricopa, Kelly Anderson, the new executive director of the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce, said she is ready to use her skill set to give something back to the community by building up the chamber. Read more about her vision and goals for the organization moving forward.
Also, in Eloy, the city council finalized plans for the Frontier Street Community Tree Project. Eloy Mayor Micah Powell said that the project is part of the community’s beautification initiative and is excited for it to get off the ground and breathe new life into the city. |
