To borrow from Pixar’s Buzz Lightyear, this patch from the Eloy squadron of Civil Air Patrolmanaged to make it “to infinity and beyond.” Maj. Sian Proctor took the Eloy patch with her as she piloted the inspiration4 mission from SpaceX.
It’s been a year of records in the Phoenix area when it comes to weather, and this past weekend set another one. Friday brought one inch of rainfall to the area, setting a recording for the wettest Christmas Eve in the region since 1944.
Speaking of wet weather, there may be more rain in store this week. Afternoon showers may be possible Tuesday, with even more rain anticipated for Thursday and Friday. See the forecast here.
