Coolidge could be seeing more housing options in the city after the Planning and Zoning Commission approved an amended application for 1,123 manufactured homes to be built in the community. While the Coolidge City Council will have the final say, the subdivision would be owned and operated by Sun Communities and sit on 319 acres at the southeast corner of Skousen and Martin roads.
In Eloy, the city council held a work session on Monday to discuss solutions for the growing animal control problem within the city. Eloy’s stray dog and cat population is disproportionately higher than any other jurisdiction in the county. The city and Pinal County Animal Care and Control agreed to work together to come up with a solution.
Also, San Tan Valley resident Matt Ferris showed off his world class heavy equipment skills by finishing second in Caterpillar’s 2022-23 Global Operator Challenge. Ferris, a senior construction superintendent at Kinkaid Civil Construction, competed against operators from around the world and was rewarded for his unique talent. |
