A 15-year-old boy was booked into Pinal County juvenile detention after he allegedly was found in possession of an unloaded airsoft gun on March 9 at American Leadership Academy-Anthem South 7-12 school. The student will remain off campus indefinitely.
In Arizona news, residents up north are preparing for evacuations due to rising water levels in rivers and basins. Yesterday, the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory in the Oak Creek area, south of Sedona. Other winter weather advisories were issued for parts of central, northwest and northeast Arizona.
And, back in San Tan Valley, the Pinal County Board of Supervisors approved a “concept plan” for developing public parks in the area yesterday. This initiative is intended to be a first step in building a park system that provides residents with a level of service comparable to similar-sized Arizona communities. |
