The Phoenix Police Department recovered a body found in a west Phoenix canal earlier this morning. Officers responded to an injured person call at around 7 a.m. and an investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
In national news, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell was released from the hospital yesterday after treatment for a concussion sustained after falling at an evening dinner event. A spokesman for McConnell said that he will continue to recover in an inpatient rehabilitation facility,
