Good morning RJ,
Yesterday, in Tucson, U.S. agents seized up to 440 pounds of what they suspect is a precursor chemical often used in the production of fentanyl. The seizure is a dangerous sign that producers may be moving to manufacture the harmful drug right here on American soil.
Also, yesterday, it was announced that actor Alec Baldwin, along with the weapons supervisor for the western film “Rust,” will be charged with involuntary manslaughter. Baldwin was pointing a gun with a live round inside, which killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins while on a remote set in New Mexico.
And in local news, the San Tan Valley Advisory Council board announced they will hold monthly meetings to discuss various topics that are of high interest to residents. The first presentation will be Thursday, Jan. 26, at CAC’s San Tan Campus. It will cover fire protection services that are available to all citizens. |
