Kenneth Walker III (RB): Seattle Seahawks
Game 9 Stats: 26 carries 109 yards 2 TD Continuing to dominate since taking over as lead back in week 6, Kenneth walker has been playing like a man possessed. Since week 5 Walker has scored 7 TDs, good enough to rank 4th for the entire season in TDs by RBs. Walker has taken the ball and run and looks to keep running all the way to Rookie of the Year Honors.
Dameon Pierce: Houston Texans
Game 9 Stats: 27 carries 139 Yards Dameon Pierce had another strong showing, rushing for 88 yards in the first half, finishing with 139 yards on the ground. Pierce has been a dark horse this whole season, drafted in the 4th round, Pierce came in with high expectation and has risen to meet the moment. Firmly established as the starting RB for the Texans, Pierce could challenge Walker for Rookie of the Year if his carries and role stay the same.
Tyler Allgeier: Atlanta Falcons
Game 9 Stats: 10 carries 99 yards 1 Rec 24 yards Tyler Allgeier stepped up for the falcons in the absence of Cordarrelle Patterson, rushing for 284 yards 1 TD and pulling in 4 receptions for 70 yards in Patterson’s Absence. With Cordarrelle returning from injury Allgeier will look to take over the change of pace downs for the Falcons, but he has shown the team that he can be trusted to carry the load if needed.
Chris Olave: New Orleans Saints
Game 9 Stats: 6 Rec 71 Yards Chris Olave came into the league as a highly touted WR from Ohio State, but he has proceeded to exceed expectations for the Saints. Currently 9th overall with 618 receiving yards, Olave has become a central figure in the Saints Offense and has become the clear #1 WR for the team. Olave will only get better as he continues to develop and become more comfortable in the NFL.
Garrett Wilson: New York Jets
Game 9 Stats: 8 Rec 92 Yards, 1 Rush 7 yards Garrett Wilson has seen a increase in targets the last two weeks, resulting in games of 115 yards receiving and 92 yards receiving, the increase looks to be from growing chemistry with Starting QB Zach Wilson. Wilson was highly touted out of college and seems to be a key figure in the Jets’ offense going forward. What for him to put up even bigger numbers as he continues to develop with Starting QB Wilson.
Aidan Hutchinson: Detroit Lions
Game 9 Stats: 2 Total Tackles, 1 QB Pressure, 1 INT Aidan Hutchinson had a great game Sunday against the division rival Green Bay Packers. Hutchinson pulled in his first Interception of his career against legendary QB Aaron Rodgers. While Hutchinson may not have a ton of stats, that is primarily because the opposing offenses are scheming away from Hutchinson. His presence is felt every time he lines up against a offense, this #2 pick in the draft is a real difference maker for the Lions defense.
Sauce Gardner: New York Jets
Game 9 Stats: 7 total tackles, 3 solo tackles, 1 INT 1 Pass Defended Sauce Gardner has had a great couple of weeks, shutting down opposing QBs and WR alike, his latest victim was josh Allen. The jets pulled off the huge upset week 9 with a win over the Buffalo Bills and Sauce Gardner was a crucial part of the team’s success, pulling in an interception while getting 7 tackles. Sauce currently leads the NFL in Passes defended with 13.
