We start today with some state news, after all of the votes were recounted, Democrat Kris Mayes officially defeated Republican candidate Abe Hamadeh for Arizona Attorney General last Thursday. Mayes defeated Hamadeh by just 280 votes, one of the closest races in state history.
Also, electric vehicle owners can expect more charging stations on the road in the next few years. The Arizona Department of Transportation is planning to oversee the installation of new chargers along five interstate highways, including I-10 and I-8.
And in local news, Vitalant, a non-profit organization, will be hosting blood drives in the Casa Grande area throughout the month January. Participants who Donate blood between Jan. 1-13 will receive a voucher for a free ticket to the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
