Ten new officers may soon be patrolling the streets of Casa Grande. The city received a $1.25 million grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to help cover the cost of the officers. But will the city be able to find people to fill the positions?
Speaking of crime news, a Maricopa man allegedly had to defend himself with a chair after a Chandler woman threatened him with a knife. According to police, this was allegedly not the first time the woman had attacked him.
And a number of Florence Unified School District schools got good marks from the Arizona Department of Education when school letter grades were released.
