Recently, I received an email from an friend which contained an open letter about Barack Obama. Basically, it asked “Who the heck is he?” It’s been out there quite a while, so I won’t bore you by repeating it here. However, the question is valid. Obama has been elevated to the status of elder statesman, and many Americans take his word for everything as the unbiased truth. That is a dangerous proposiition. Although he was elected, and served two terms as POTUS, we continue to know virtuallynothing which can be independently verified about his past, prior to arriving on the public stage in 2004. From the place of his birth, the date of his marriage to Michelle, the date and place of his daughters birth, his college transcripts and more, all this is confidential. Why? To question any of these matters makes you a ““Birther”, just as questioning anything about the election results of 2020 and now 2022 makes you an “Election Denier”. Shut up! Obey, or you will be mocked or punished for expressing your opinion. This concept is totally against our constitutional guarantees and the American way of life. It is time to speak out before that privilege is taken away by an oppresive regime. What follows is my reply to my friend. I hope you will pass this on, and take the time to comment on the content. From the time that Obama came on the scene when he gave the keynote address at the Democratic convention in 2004, his background has been purposely muddied. In a country steeped in an undeserved history of white guilt pushed by academia, what better candidate for president than a mixed race man with a Muslim name from Hawaii? Not impressed with his oratorical prowess, I listened to what he was saying, and was disturbed by it. He wanted to “Fundamentally Transform America”. I asked, into what? No one seemed to care. Our guilt over ever having slaves held in bondage in this country was going to be expunged by electing this individual whom we knew little or nothing about. As my brother-in-law said at the time: “How much damage can he do in eight years?” In 2008 we were well on the way to becoming a colorblind society. Fourteen years later, we are more racially divided than ever. The Black Lives Matter riots after the death of the thug George Floyd proved that, and more of the same is bubbling just below the surface, waiting to explode. A majority of American citizens now distrust our elections, or at the very least admit they favor the Democrats. We cannot survive as a civil society if this continues. Yet amazingly, we let the process survive. The fix is easy. Make election day a Federal Holiday, go to a system using paper ballots which must be cast in person at a local precinct and with a legal unexpired photo ID. To call this “Racist” is an insult to minorities. Everyone knows that currently we must have a photo ID to travel by air, stay in a hotel, see a doctor or dentist, get a prescription filled, etc. Racist my ass! But the Democrats continue to claim that’s the case. The insane concepts of transgenderism, social justice, “My Truth”, equity over equality, reparations, climate change and open borders are tearing this country apart. If we aren’t destroyed from without, we will surely implode from within if good old American Common Sense doesn’t resurface and take over.
