The Florence Town Council is still looking for a new town manager. Brent Billingsley, the town’s last manager, left in early February. The council plans to interview a new round of candidates for the position next week.

Also in Coolidge, educators are celebrating some successes and looking for ways to improve local schools after the state released new letter grades for individual schools last week. This the first time in two years that the state has released letter grades for schools. The state held off on scoring schools in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic.

And more election results were released yesterday, as the state and the county continue to count ballots. The race for two seats on the Casa Grande Elementary School District Boardcontinues to narrow. In the race for the Casa Grande Unified High School District, the two front runners are already making plans for what they will do once they get into office.
