Good morning RJ,
(Some of) the results are in! The early, unofficial, results from yesterday’s General Election started posting to the Arizona Secretary of State Office and Pinal County Elections Department’s websites around 8 p.m. However, not all the ballots have been counted yet, and it’s still too close to call the winners in several Pinal County races.
In Casa Grande, voters had to make decisions on who to elect to the elementary and high school districts, changes to the city charter and several bond issues. The race for the last open seat on the Casa Grande Elementary School District Board is still very close, while the race for the two seats for the Casa Grande Union High School District board may nearly be settled.
In Coolidge, voters appear to have made a decision in the run-off election for the remaining open seat on city council and two seats on the school district board.
Toltec and Florence voters also marked their ballots for their favorite school district candidates. And in Eloy, voters seemed disinclined to approve a request for a budget overridefor the Santa Cruz Valley High School District.
Keep an eye on our website; we’ll be updating stories and results as the Pinal County Elections Department and Secretary of State’s Office release more voting data. |
