New COVID-19 studies are showing that early treatment of COVID-19, instead of waiting for vaccines, could have saved countless lives and ended the pandemic in just a few months.
According to Dr. Paul Marik, “If we had adopted, as a number of countries have done, early, widespread early treatment, we could have controlled and ended this pandemic in the middle of 2020.”
Dr. Marik noted that it was an unprecedented move to discourage doctors from using medical treatments that medicine and science already knew would effectively treat COVID-19 and save peoples’ lives.
He also noted that, due in part to the government’s response, America had one of the highest COVID-19 mortality rates.
