RJ,
We’re all concerned about the high cost of gas—but President Biden is about to make a big mistake that could make it even worse.
His proposal would ban exports of refined fuel products—including gas and diesel fuels that our cars and trucks depend on. In a global energy market, this just doesn’t make sense. Taking American energy off the market would create a major shock. This could cause prices to rise across the world, and Americas aren’t immune. In fact, up to two-thirds of Americans could end up paying more at the pump after such a ban.
Energy is too important to take such drastic measures without considering the consequences. We should be focusing on increasing production and cutting red tape to support our energy sector, not giving up our powerful position in the global market.
We need Energy Citizens like you to tell your elected officials that you oppose a fuel export ban. Will you stand up for America’s energy industry?
