Pinal County officials are hoping that local cities will agree to pool the money from a recent settlement with drug companies to help the entire county recover from the opioid epidemic. County Attorney Kent Volkmer told the board of supervisors that he’s in talks with cities and towns about combining the payments to create a bigger program that could help more people. However, some communities have concerns about the proposed plan.
In other news, a San Tan Valley man was arrested after he allegedly continued to bump a deputy after being asked repeatedly to stop.
