With the 2022 World Series between the Astros and Phillies set to get underway tomorrow, it’s time for some Fall Classic predictions.

We polled a panel of MLB.com voters with the following questions:

• Who will win the World Series?
• How many games will the Series last?
• Who will hit the most homers?
• Which pitcher will have the most strikeouts?
• Who will record the first stolen base and win America a free taco?
• Who will win World Series MVP?

Here are the results.

When these teams met 42 years ago, there were comebacks, blown leads, comebacks after blown leads, triple plays that weren’t … and the final four games of the five-game series all went to extra innings.

Most of the key performers in the upcoming World Series were highly regarded talents as they worked their way through the Minors. Twenty players on the two rosters cracked MLB.com‘s Top 100 Prospects list en route to the big leagues.

It’s understandable that Jean Segura would be extra amped for the World Series — he entered the postseason with the most career games among active players without appearing in the playoffs.

Despite five trips to the ALCS and more than a billion dollars spent in player salaries since the Yankees last won it all, the ultimate prize has eluded them. What will it take to win the 28th title in franchise history?
