Dear RJ,
Your support powers the Center for Common Ground. Because of individuals like you, we continue our work to educate, empower and mobilize Black voters in the South.
We are already seeing the impact of our efforts in states like Georgia, Virginia and Florida where there has been record breaking early voter turnout across the board with Black voters compared to the 2018 midterms.
November 8th is approaching fast and we need your help to raise $250,000 by the end of the month to keep reaching as many voters as possible; there is a strong possibility that some of the Georgia statewide races (U.S. Senate, Governor) may have a run-off on December 6th.
In 2022 our Democracy Centers are knocking on doors, giving rides to the polls and coming up with ideas to turn out the vote. For every local community that learns to use our tools to call, postcard, and text voters who don’t normally vote in midterm elections, we take a step forward for Democracy.
Because this work is self-funded, we need to raise money so Democracy Centers can hire canvassers pay for local GOTV door hangers with election information customized for their community.
Can you help? Donating $100 will allow us to send 4,000 more texts. Donating $20 will hire paid canvassers for a weekend. Whatever you can give, your support will help us turn out more Black voters.
We have already raised 85,000 dollars so far – will you help us reach our goal of $250,000?
