Dear Residents,
Did you know all community governing documents are available 24/7 via MyTrilogyLife (MTL)?
The dedicated HOA section shares information with the community, including Design Guidelines, Rules & Regulations, and CCR requirements. Most recently, the community Design Guidelines were modified and published to the HOA Documents section. The HOA section can be accessed by going to Community > HOA.
The recent Design Guideline changes incorporated state legislative changes regarding political signs (time frame for display and dimension limitations) and flags (permitting first responder flags).
For quick reference, the legislative revisions are highlighted and included below.
- 6.21.4 A political sign is defined as a sign that attempts to influence the outcome of an election, including supporting or opposing the recall of a public officer or supporting or opposing the circulation of a petition for a ballot measure, question or proposition or the recall of a public officer (pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes 33-1808). Political signs may be displayed no earlier than 71 calendar days prior to the election and removed 15 calendar days after the general election if the candidate advances to the general election. If the candidate does not advance past the primary, the sign must be removed within 15 days after the primary election. The political sign may be placed on the Owner’s Lot in a front window or front yard only, but no closer than five feet from the public sidewalk or Common Areas.
- 6.21.5 An Association-Specific Political Sign means a sign that supports or opposes a candidate for the Board of Directors or the recall of a board member or a planned community ballot measure that requires a vote of the association members (pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes 33-1808). Association-Specific Political Signs may be displayed no earlier than the date the Association provides written or absentee ballots to members and no later than three (3) days after the planned community election. The maximum aggregate total dimensions of all association specific political signs on a member’s property shall not exceed nine square feet.
- 6.6.1 No more than 2 flags shall be displayed on any Lot at any time. Flags that cannot be prohibited by the Association are the American flag or an official or replica of a flag of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard, POW/MIA flag, Arizona state flag, an Arizona Indian Nation’s flag, the Gadsden flag, a First Responder Flag which may incorporate the design of one or two other First Responder flags to form a combined flag, a Blue Star Service Flag, and a Gold Star Service Flag. All displays of the American flag and military flags on Lots must be in a manner consistent with the Federal Flag Code (4 USC Sections 4 through 10).
We encourage all residents to take time to review our dedicated HOA section on MTL for the most up-to-date Association information.
Thank you!
