Yesterday, the Supreme Court began hearing arguments in the Merrill vs. Milligan case, which could uphold Alabama’s racially discriminatory congressional map and undermine the Voting Rights Act.
What’s at stake with this case only emphasizes how important it is for us to mobilize Black voters in Alabama this fall so they can elect members in office that represent their issues.
