Theta Delta Chi Epsilon Triton Newsletter October 2022

Coming off a successful rush week for the Fall 2022 semester, The brothers of Theta Delta Chi, Epsilon Triton Charge, at Arizona State University wanted to take the time to update you on the current state of our charge and upcoming events. We at Epsilon Triton are now going to release bi-semesterly update emails in hopes of updating our alumni and fellow brothers of what’s going on. Over the past year we’ve been starting to focus on building relationships within the ASU community and our alumni, and want to continue this forward progress.

As a charge, we are currently sitting at 25 active members, and have brought in a new member class of at least 8 people and counting. This is a big step up from our last semester, and we are exploring new ways to recruit members and retain them through the process. Our new executive board has been focused on increasing our on campus presence by participating in more philanthropies, building interfraternal relations, and encouraging our members to be outstanding members in the asu community. With that being said, the brothers are on the way to hosting their first philanthropy week in the past 4 years! We are always actively trying to incorporate more alumni presence into our charge, so feel free to reach out to our current alumni relations chair (Jacob Butler) if you have any ideas or want to help out!

We wanted to take the time to thank our current executive board and put names to faces. The Spring 2021 – Fall 2022 board has been working hard throughout the semester to ensure we had a successful rush and continue the upward growth of our charge and presence on campus. From left to right the members include: Brandon Mah (Philanthropy), Jake Snelgrove (New Member Educator), Tristan Sourk (Treasurer), Zach Fitzgerald (Vice President), Jacob Butler (President), Chanon Wang (Herald), Jared Johnson (Secretary), Ryan Park (Risk Manager), and Pj Hansen (Rush Chair).
Alex Lewis:
  • Vice President of Programs PAB (Fall 2021-Spring 2022)
  • Coordinator in the Student Organizations and Leadership Office (Current)
  • Graduated with a degree in Psychology and Minor in Early Childhood Education

Alex Lewis will be filling in as our new Alumni Advisor. His goals are to build upon the existing brotherhood and to connect alumni with the undergraduate brothers to continue the bonds of brotherhood after graduation. If you have any questions or what to help Alex, you can contact him via email at tdx.alumniadvisor.asu@gmail.com or via phone at 760-488-3949

Jared Johnson:
  • President of Men’s Volleyball Club (Fall 2021 – Spring 2022)
  • Vice President of Sports Clubs (Fall 2022 – Spring 2023)
  • Research on climate change and its impact on amphibian populations in the Sonoran Desert.

The brothers really enjoyed getting to meet all of you that came out last year, and we wanted to start planning something again for this year. We will be hosting an alumni weekend during Asu’s family weekend November 4-6th. The actives wish to make it a yearly occurrence either in the fall or the spring, so that we can build these connections. This will be a good opportunity to meet the active brothers, new members, and others that help our charge continue to grow. I will be sending a follow up email in a week or two to go over the details of what events the actives will be hosting, but if you are interested in coming out feel free to contact; Jacob Butler (925-353-0554), Alex Lewis (760-488-3949), or Tom Czyz (602-405-2120). Or fill out the following Evite: Evite Link Here. hope to see you all out here!
To all the brothers of Theta Delta Chi, we would like to thank you for taking time to read our first newsletter, and we hope to see you in the near future. The Epsilon Triton charge is thankful for the opportunities we are given, and we will continue to improve ourselves and the community around us. Be sure to catch our next newsletter, which will be released in December!
