This week marks a very somber and disheartening anniversary. 49 years ago, on January 22nd, the Supreme Court of the United States made the decision allowing for abortion on demand. This ruling was immoral and has led to the murder of 62 million innocent babies since abortion was legalized in 1973.
As a Catholic, doctor, father and grandfather I take God’s creation of life seriously.
This week, The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List revealed the latest Susan B. Anthony List National Pro-life Scorecard, a tool for holding members of Congress accountable for their legislative records on abortion and highlighting leadership in the fight to protect unborn children and their mothers. I am proud to once again receive an A+ rating. I do not believe in abortion. Under any circumstance.
Thankfully, the Supreme Court is preparing to hear a monumental case that could undue Roe v Wade and help end the killing babies still in the wombs of their moms. Victory in this case would save thousands of babies and begin to correct the horrific error that occurred nearly 50 years ago that has resulted in the disgusting murder of millions of precious babies.
On this sad anniversary, we must honor the memories of every baby aborted and reaffirm our determination to fight to save countless others still in danger.
