Did you know that the #1 cause for an inconsistent swing and poor golf shot is improper wrist hinge in the golf swing?
In order to hinge the wrists properly in your golf swing you must first understand the role of each in the swing.
The hands connect the body to the club which in turn controls the club face, plane and the loading/unloading of the club. This is crucial to speed, solid contact and direction.
>> BEST WAY TO DEVELOP PROPER WRIST HINGE
TIP: To hinge the club properly (for a right handed golfer) the right wrist bends backwards creating wrinkles in the back of the wrist. Think about it… it’s the same as throwing a baseball. At the same time, the left wrist hinges upward into a position where it is flat. If you do this correctly you can maintain this hinge in the backswing and downswing leading into impact. When you make contact with the ball the wrists unhinge with the left wrist remaining flat. (Think opposite hands if you’re a lefty!) – Could use a quick drill and images with this.
