A Letter From Our Bright’s Publisher
Dear Reader,
Welcome to The Epoch Times, and thank you for becoming a reader. I’m Dana Cheng, publisher at Bright by The Epoch Times.
In case you are wondering, Bright is the lifestyle and wellness division of The Epoch Times: a little lighter on the “hard” news, but grounded in Truth and Tradition just the same.
About 20 years ago, a friend told me a true story. A person she knew donated one kidney to his neighbor. This story has stayed in my memory ever since. Each time I think of it, it warms my heart. It reflects the bright side of our world. Yet, we hardly read this kind of story in the media. This is why we’ve built this Bright site to share valuable stories with you.
We collect stories from both past and present. We look to the past for remarkable people who inspire us to persist in our values, and for traditions that guide us and give us strength—like they have for so many of our ancestors. We look around ourselves in the present for people who hold onto established moral principles, like kindness, honesty, perseverance, loyalty, and courtesy.
Through these examples, we hope to show you the capability for goodness that still exists in the hearts of men and women just like you. But we also realize that a sound mind resides in a sound body. So at the same time that we gather inspiring stories, we’re also looking for ways to help you take care of your body and live a healthier lifestyle. Our unique health section has been well-received by readers.
We want our lifestyle content to nourish the soul. We look into the root of tradition, look for its timeless elements, and its connection with our modern life.
I hope that in Bright’s content, you’ll find the inspiration you need to become an ever stronger, kinder, and healthier version of yourself. Sincerely,
