RJ,
America needs every bit of energy we can find in order to combat inflation, address our supply chain crisis, and keep our economy out of recession. Offshore leasing for oil and natural gas has been a major source of that energy, powering our homes and businesses.
So why has the Department of the Interior decided to freeze lease sales, including Gulf of Mexico locations that have incredible energy potential? The Department’s job is to responsibly manage our natural resources, not lock them away while Americans are paying more for gasoline and groceries.
The Department’s latest five-year leasing program goes even further, by stating that they may not hold any more sales during this time. That’s half a decade without major federal action offshore to help reduce energy prices.
We can’t afford to wait that long, not when our economy needs help now. Will you join us in telling the Department of the Interior to stop slow-rolling American energy?
