A 61-year-old Casa Grande man expressed surprise Monday afternoon when he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting at police officers. Read more about why he was surprised about the outcome of his plea agreement.
Also, a Maricopa Police officer has been cleared in the shooting death of a man earlier this year. Officers responded to the man’s home in March after he called 911 and threatened to harm himself with a gun. An officer shot and killed the man after he threatened officers.
