The State Forty Eight Foundation Entrepreneur Speaker Series presented by Ogeez! brings together some of Arizona’s most remarkable founders, CEO’s and industry experts. Each session will tackle a theme or topic that is central to the journey of the entrepreneur. Here is what you can expect from session three:
VALUABLE INSIGHT: During session three, we’re bringing together a panel of some of the Valley’s most skilled and ingenious marketing minds. In addition to sharing their story and passion for marketing, they will speak to what early-stage business owners should consider when determining their marketing strategy.

Ashley’s extensive experience– combined with her passion for marketing–allow her to bring her clients tremendous success in the online world. In 2017, Ashley launched E Squared Marketing to provide creative digital solutions and heightened value to small to medium-sized businesses. Whatever your needs, Ashley provides a fresh perspective and creative yet pragmatic leadership to lead your business to success. Ashley is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and when she’s not working, you can find this Arizona native enjoying hikes with her husband of 10 years, Brandon, and their two adorable children, Ellie and Eli.
Scott Harkey, Founder & CEO at OH Advertising
Scott Harkey co-founder and CEO of OH Partners—one of the largest, independent, award-winning ad agencies in the Southwest. Harkey is also co-founder and CEO OH Holdings which operates a family of specialized marketing service agencies in film, digital, strategy, analytics, research, and more. A strategic investor, accomplished marketing guru and new-world businessperson—Scott has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world including Walt Disney Companies, Virgin, Wynn Resorts, Pepsi, Avnet, NHL, Discovery Land Co, Honda, Pixar, & National Geographic just to name a few. He has assumed a CMO role for numerous brands brought under his wing—many of which he’s helped go to market, or successfully took public.
Terrence Murtagh, Entrepreneur, Investor & Lifelong Student

Terrence is on a mission to help people conquer themselves so they can win at life, excel in business and achieve the life they desire. Having felt very disconnected from himself and his reality until the late 20s to early 30s — he was lost and had nowhere to go. Terrence had two options : he could continue to be depressed, feel sorry for himself and hold on to the past OR he could rise to the occasion of life like a champion and start to exist in the present. Can you guess which decision he made? Terrence became the Phoenix and is taking his turn to give back. It has become his life’s mission to help people develop a better understanding of themselves, gain a Winner’s Mindset and help guide their path towards success.
Sara Schmille, Vice President of Marketing for Kahala Brands
Sara Schmillen she leads advertising, marketing, and brand strategy for Cold Stone Creamery. She is passionate about implementing programs and promotions that underscore The Ultimate Ice Cream Experience® and increase the bottom line for franchisees. Sara has worked on the Cold Stone brand since 2011 and has been with Kahala Brands since 2008. Prior to joining the Kahala team, Sara was employed with Main Street Restaurant Group. In her position, Sara provided marketing support to several restaurant and hospitality brands, like T.G.I. Friday’s and The Bamboo Club and worked on all corporate marketing. Sara is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing. She is also a graduate of the Executive Masters of Business Administration program at Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. If she’s not in her office, chances are she’s on an adventure – ticking states and countries off of her bucket list. Additionally, Sara likes to stay well networked and is actively involved in local industry associations along with fundraising and volunteering for local children’s charities and pet rescues.
