Good morning RJ,
The mayor of Eloy declared a state of emergency Monday after a monsoon storm knocked out power to many Eloy, Toltec and Arizona City residents Sunday evening. During a live-streamed press conference, the mayor said APS is working to restore power to the community but some areas may not have power before Wednesday. We’ll keep you updated as the situation changes on our website, www.pinalcentral.com.
And the city ballots are in the mail. Pinal County officials are assuring voters that supplemental ballots for the Aug. 2 primary are on their way. The ballots correct an error that left city and town council elections off of some mail-in ballots that were sent out earlier this month. Also, Casa Grande Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a gold SUV. Police believe the driver may have been involved in a fatal shooting that took place in the early hours of Monday morning. |
