The mother of a man accused of shooting a Casa Grande teen and an Eloy woman is adamant that he was not involved in the shooting. The woman allegedly told police that her son was at her home the entire weekend of the April shooting and that he had loaned his car to a friend. The car, a Chrysler 300, has not been found.
In other news, Maricopa Fire and Medical and a hazmat team from Chandler Fire departments had to evacuate Desert Winds Middle School yesterday after some incompatible chemicals were mixed together by janitors. No one was hurt in the incident.
And schools in the Maricopa and San Tan areas may soon get a bit more crowded. The Pinal County Board of Supervisors approved two large master-planned communities near the two cities. The two new developments are expected to add hundreds of homes, apartments and condos to the housing market. |
