We’re seeing climate change impacts all around us. The last seven years were the hottest in recorded history and people are increasingly experiencing climate-related disasters like drought and wildfires.
Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for senators to pass comprehensive climate change legislation. And the window of opportunity is now closing, as the upcoming midterm elections could change the balance of power in Congress.
We need legislation that encourages renewable energy development, protects forests that absorb climate emissions and promotes equitable access to green spaces that will help communities endure this crisis.
