Volunteers are gathering clothing, food and household items today for a Florence couple who lost their house in a fire. A GoFundMe account has also been set up for the couple. The couple’s home burned to the ground despite a volunteer fire department only being a few miles away.
Also, a judge ruled that Rep. Mark Finchem and Congressmen Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs can stay on the ballot, after rejecting a claim from the national organization Free Speech for People that the three should be disqualified because they allegedly participated in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
And environmental groups are suing the federal government to halt further development of Interstate 11 because they say the federal government allegedly failed to consider the damage one section of the route near Tucson might do to the environment.
