Peter,
This upcoming video shoot will be a fascinating one.
In the coming weeks the American Veterans Center filming crew will be sitting down with Alan Moskin—World War ll Veteran and civil trial Attorney.
Before beginning his legal career, Moskin was drafted in the midst of his college years at Syracuse University and began fighting in combat in France, Germany, and Austria as a proud member of the 66th infantry, in the 71st division.
Moskin quickly climbed the ranks and was promoted from Private to Staff Sergeant.
Not only was Moskin involved in liberating the Gurskirchen Concentration Camp, but he even decided after the fact to stay there in Germany to serve in the U.S. Army Occupation until June, 1946.
After serving our great country, Moskin jumped right back into civilian life to complete his college degree and after that, gradated with his J.D. and practiced until 1991 when he retired.
For his service during World War ll, Moskin was awarded the “2016 Veteran of the Year” by the Veterans Coordinating Council in Rockland County, N.Y. and two years prior was inducted into the NY State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame.
Moskin has shared of his harrowing experiences as a concentration camp liberator and army veteran while serving on the;
-Board of Trustees of the Holocaust Museum
-Center of Tolerance and Education
-Rockland/Orange District Council of the Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A.
I know you’ll be as impressed with Alan’s story as I am.
While I’m eager to record and release this miniature documentary for your viewing, I’m even more pleased that Alan’s story to be memorialized so his story and experiences will live on long past you and me.
Without the support from partners like you, Peter, AVC couldn’t preserve these unique experiences for our veterans, their families, and countless generations to come.
Thank you for your support which makes efforts like this possible.
