Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s path to the Supreme Court is about to enter the next phase. Today, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee is wrapping up its hearing on her nomination. That means the Senate will be voting in a matter of weeks on whether to confirm her as the next Supreme Court justice.

Our lawmakers need to hear from us now: Tell your U.S. senators to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as the next Supreme Court justice.

Judge Jackson is incredibly qualified for this role, with a strong record of being committed to equal justice under the law throughout her career as a public defender and later as both a U.S. District Court Judge and a U.S. Circuit Court Judge. If the Senate votes to confirm her, she would also be the first Black woman on the nation’s highest court.

And as President Joe Biden’s nominee, we are confident Judge Jackson will understand that reasonable gun safety measures are constitutional. Her confirmation is incredibly important to the future of our movement—especially with more gun safety cases coming before the courts and more gun violence devastating our communities.
