The “Help Us End Hair Discrimination in the Workplace, Schools, and Pools” campaign

March 18, 2022

Dear CROWN Act Supporter,

We are thrilled to share that this morning, the federal bill HR 2116 (The CROWN Act) officially passed the House of Representatives (235 Yeas/189 Nays) and now awaits the Senate vote!

This historic moment inches us closer to a more open and respectful world for natural hair. We are so grateful for the amazing Black women and sponsoring legislators, such as Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman, who have led this movement with us.

We need your support!

As we await the Senate vote, we encourage you to send a letter to your state legislator asking for their support of the federal bill using the email template available at thecrownact.com and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Access the email your legislator template HERE

Join us in celebrating the passing of the federal bill and share the exciting news with your family and friends by liking and reposting The CROWN Act social media post.

As always, thank you for your continued support, together we can end hair discrimination nationwide!

All my best,
Esi Eggleston Bracey
