Looking at the comments on our Facebook page it’s been fun to see how everyone is looking forward to December 1st, when our new London Advent Calendar starts to reveal its secrets. And from then until Christmas Day is a gradual build-up as each day’s story is revealed and the London scene gets more and more festive.London Advent Calendar
New features this year include a daily hunt for a tree ornament – a bit like last year’s gnome hunt, except that your can use the ornaments you find to decorate your tree! Also making a welcome return this year is our popular snowflake maker – but you’ll have to wait a few more days before it appears.
Have you tried the recipes in our wonderful seasonal recipe book? If you’re thinking of making a traditional Christmas cake, now’s the time to start. In fact there are those who reckon you should have started long ago! And there are lots of other yummy looking things to make there.
All in all, the Advent Calendar is an amazing collection of activities, animated stories, art, music, and lots more, which has become an essential part of Christmas for so many people. Do take a moment to read a bit more of the story on our Behind the Scenes page.
